Personality

Surface calm, unseen ripples. Complex and calm, Itachi is thorough and perfectionist nitpicky about the smallest things. Efficiency is key, he dislikes a stagnant situation, if it requires chaos to get the world moving in the direction Itachi Perceives Is Right, then so be it. He has a way of tearing a person down to ribbons with a few polite words, that could be condescending if anyone were ever able to prove it. (But they can’t, as no one has ever, to this day, managed to prove much of anything about Itachi’s wrong-doings.) He’s considered a genius, a prodigy, the fact of the matter is: that’s not entirely untrue. It’s not arrogance if the rest of the world speaks it and the cause of the clamor doesn’t.

He has a remarkable talent for immediately noticing even the tiniest of details. Ridiculously efficient powers of observation lend to the sense of arrogance, though he passes it off with such an overwhelming apathy that it’s hard to tell. He rarely speaks openly about himself, the things that he knows, or gives more information than strictly necessary even when speaking with family. It’s not in his nature to open up, which will make things difficult for any attempts at rehabilitation or therapy, because at the core.
Itachi. Isn’t. Sane. He detaches from reality into moments of glassy-eyed distance, has trouble connecting well with others (but they believe, many believe, to have connections, Itachi knows better and always has how wrong they are to think it.) He never sleeps unless outright forced, refuses to admit personal weakness, and has an unhealthy enough fixation on his little brother. (But I’m sure we’ll get into that later, in therapy sessions, where questions are asked and never truly answered. Never.)

There’s many crimes, violent ones, that can’t be directly linked to Uchiha Itachi, can’t be pinned on him. He’ll be suspected, but never caught, because he never brags and he never leaves evidence behind of ‘misdeeds’ or ‘lapses.’

Arrival

He was sent by the Uchiha family, swept under the radar to a far-off asylum for ‘treatment’ away from the public eye. As far as anyone knows, Itachi’s on ‘sabbatical.’ Indefinitely.

Appearance

Uchiha Itachi is the perfect specimen of generations worth of careful gene selection and matches, inter-clan breeding to bring out desired traits. The Uchiha clan seeks just that, perfection, in their male heirs. He stands 5 ft 8, dark hair long and straight, drawn back in a ponytail at the base of his neck. When it hangs free it slips forward, nearly conceals a face devoid of expression save cold, distant apathy. His skin is pale, ashen and slightly unhealthy, his body thin and sheared of all fat, left too-prominent wrists and elbows, lean muscle, sharp hipbones. Sharper contrasts.
